I do drive an ek its a 1997 hatch and your right its 2253 not 2238 according to the 6 th gen spec top right of your screen you need to know your facts before you post stuff you have no idea about bud the only part of your whole post that was right is the quote from oc civic

This coming from the guy who said a GSR swap weighs 100 lbs more than the D series did.
It's one thing for an 18 year old kid to come on here and make a thread asking a question like yours, but you're 38. You can't figure out on your own, that a car weighing at least 500lbs more, but makes only 20 more hp is going to lose?

Well the results are in the hatch was in the lead most of the way he did however run me down on top end. Hats off to the Si although the hatch is faster through 4 th gear the Si won in the end ! The hatch will be getting major upgrades next week anyway so it will then own the Si for sure through all gears ! Thanks guys for the thoughts and input and letting me know that I own an EJ not an EK although I thought differently I was wrong and I learned something 
my boys type r hatch ran a 4dr si and only got him by 3 cars. I think a gsr hatch would be a good race
