gotta pay prices if you want the performance right .? ... if everything was cheap then everybody would have fast ass cars.! just my opinion.. plus.. 511 is not bad for a cam for a D17A2 engine. my money says maybe some where down the line itll be a lil bit cheaper but hey gotta go with what u can find right .?

I've heard a lot more bad than good about Gude.

Cams coming in looking like a dog chew toy etc...

all just hearsay on my part but a lot have said that the quality was poor.

well let me say this... i have a gude cam (hccso8) in my ed hatch... its the d16a6 (NO VTEC!!!!) and that along with many other mods made a huge f**kin gain.... i have beaten my buddys em1 si that has i/h/e/ plus skunk2 intake manifold and exedy stage 1 clutch/flywheel. I have beaten a bone stock gsr. I ran close to a modified auto gsx. I mean sure i have other mods and sure the car is gutted in back, but lets get real... its only a single cam!!!! without vtec... that speaks for itself.
(my mod list by the way:
i/h/e/plugs/wires
skunk2 intake mani
exedy stage 2
rc engineering 270cc injectors
walbro 255 lph in-tank
b&m fpr
gude cam (set at 3 degrees advance)
str cam gear
mild port and polish
gude bullfrog ecu)
HOWEVER: STILL NOT WHAT I WOULD CONSIDER A FAST CAR

All I know is that i'm extremely annoyed by how slowly the D17 is getting parts... It's been out for 4 years now and we still don't have all that much. This is one of the main reasons I decided that i'm going K series when I get the cash.

GUDE is old school import performance.......yeah there s**t Works, you just gotta know how to tune it after it's all installed.........if it's the head package you are looking at, it's a major gain in horsepower.............I remember they used to have a package called the turbo killer, we installed it on an 91 Si, and than go hunting at the streetraces for GSR's and Preludes.......thay made awesome products back then, ya just got to find the right tuners, not backyard mechanics that don't have a clue on what needs to be tweaked and adjusted to get the max power out of it..............
