having tranny issues........i think...

alright i have 98 coupe....d16y8......and the problem is when i push the gas a little bit past 3k rpm it revs like if im in neutral then it catches and it usually starts in 2nd gear then 3rd then so on and so on....if i drive it normal its ok...but if i push it a little it starts that crap... so is it my clutch or anything that deals with the tranny???? help and info will be great..


p.s. my spark plugs are kinda fried and i havent changed them yet so could that be it..??

sounds like the clutch is about done. The spark plugs have nothing to do with the transmission.

yeah its prob your clutch but it would be a bad idea to go head and test your throw out bearing all you have to do is with the car running put your hand on the for by the slave cylinder and see if its wobbling if it is that could also cause the high rpm slip. but prob your clutch and most kits come with that.
