Heater doesn't work. It only blows cold air.

It sounds like you plugged the radiator by flushing it. Did you back flush, or just drain and fill? As for no heat, have you checked at the base of the windshied for leaves plugging up the air inlet? Also, if you pull the blower motor you may find leaves in the "squirrel cage". Do you see the blend door actually move? It is possible for the linkage to move, but the door to be broken loose.

Last night after we flushed the radiator and heater core again, my heater started working.

Does it still overheat?
No. It was over heating because we put some coolant in and shut the cap and I backed it into our driveway so it was on an incline to bleed it and we took the radiator cap off to bleed it and it started over heating. I let it cool off the started it to bleed it and put the cap back on and drove it home.

It did not over heat and the heater worked the whole way. It doesn't blow as hard on hot as it does on cold but it's pretty warm.
