Help 95 honda civic will not start in the mornings unless I pop the clutch

I recently returned home from a 3 week work trip. I go to hop in the car to drive to NC and it will not start. In the pouring rain from the most recent tropical storm I have to push the car down the street and pop the clutch to finally get it to start. I take it to pep boys and they replace the distributor, wires, spark plugs, etc. Say everything should be fine now. This morning once again I jump in the car to drive to NC and the same thing happens. The car turns over but will not start, so once again I push the car and pop the clutch. I go directly back to pep boys they put the old distributor back on and they refund my money. After I pop the clutch in the morning the car starts the rest of the day. I am waiting to see a honda specialist on Saturday but would like to see if I cannot fix the problem beforehand. please help

or battery. get it tested at a parts store before you buy a starter. they test batteries for free at parts stores. I work at auto zone and ive seen people throw parts at their cars and finally realize it was as simple as a blown fuse. not in your case though. start from ground zero which is the battery since your car can run without a good battery, but cannot start if it has a bad cell

Like previously stated, start with the battery and work your way up the chain of events. My vote is the starter too.
