Help please asap

ok thanks for those who read, i have a 94 ej1(1.6 sohc vtec)

my car idles fine but when i give it gas it kinda wont rev over 3000 rpms and when i put it in gearand go to move the car cuts off.

is it electrical or fuel or what?? i cant figure it out . it started doing it all of a sudden like a month ago and it went away and came back everyonce in a while and now it wont go away.

check you ecu. could be bad

i tried changing out the ecu and it still does the same thing... someone said try n run cleaner thru the system and someone else said try checking my cat converter...any more ideas or hints as to what it might be...

Distributor...for sure

Check your spark plugs. My 91 hatch did this and I found a spark plug that had been melted.

ok so no on the plugs and the distributor...

i tried a diff ecu no difference

go to autozone and ask them to diagnos your car

Check, spark plug cables, sparks, restart the ecu, distributor...
when the car cuts off, can you start it again without problems??? if you do, so there is no electrical issue.
Then check inyectors, fuel filter, fuel bump.. try moving the car @ 5k rpm
