HIDs in TYC Projectors

If I was to purchase a set of TYC projector headlights, can I buy an HID kit and just plug and play? I know that if I were to use stock headlights with an HID kit, I would blind oncoming traffic.

I've thought about the option of retrofitting, but was wondering if this is also another option.

Should be fine. I have hid's in my teg without any headlight modding.

ive got a set of zenondepot.com hids in my sonar projectors and they work fine

I guess I was wondering if the light output will be similar between HIDs in projectors and or HIDs in a retrofit?

well no ofcourse not. you will have more glare, even in projectors, and the beam pattern will not be smooth. or as wide as projectors designed for hid bulb. hid and halogen are two completely different sources of light. like comparing leds to a filament bulb.

Just my opinion that TYC projectors do not look as clean as OEM headlights.

i have tyc projectors n i love um. pretty bright.
