Homemade 3" DP

before!!!! 2 1/2" POS DP cracked

Cut off the 5 bolt flange with a plasma cutter....GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes it was nicely cleaned up.

This is how the new 3"DP pipe started
I found a mandrell "S" pipe 3"@ my friends shop

Cut it to fit

Welded the 5 bolt flange

matched it to the 3" already installed exhaust.

spools quicker but other than that i will be taking it to the dyno and see if any HP was gained. thanks for the props!!!!!!

i would have flanged that and added a flex pipe section but i dunno maybe its not necessary.

if there wasnt a flex pipe on the original DP, i would bet that is exactly why it cracked

thank you guys the reason why it cracked was cheap welds and thin pipe Oh and old too!!!

Yeah, those welds are s**t and you do need a flex pipe. I hope you welded it up better than those first pigs......
