Hoodpins???

I've read a few DIY's on installing hood pins. Just one question... do you still kepp the hood latch or remove it? No one seems to mention that in any of the DIY's. The reason i ask... if you keep the latch on, whats the point of the pins?

if you dont have the latch, anyone can walk up to your car, pop the pins and open your hood.. ive never seen the use of hood pins, unless it was an all out race car.

i don't have a latch, but mine lock.

as part of competition racing, you need 2 points of bonnet (hood) security points, oem latch and hood pins or straps

these will get you fined where I live unless they are the flush (jhp style or speco style)

good added security, hence when my conversion is in I will be having some
