How do offsets work?

I was going to lock this down because of it being soooooo old but it has to be some kind if record for not looking at the date of the last post before replying.

Can't fault too hard at least he tries to search first. :lol

It is like stepping into the history books. It reminds me of scientists looking for the Big Bang through a telescope... Look at Declectic's post... no idea what offset was LMAO.

I bought my first Honda about 3 months before this thread was started :rolf:

Have you ever noticed how some cars have their wheels sticking out past their fender? That's due to offset (improper offset mind you).
