how many grounds to a y8 harness

Well the title is the question really, and where are the said grounds located.

In the harness there is only one ground in the engine bay it grounds to ur thermostat housing outside the harness there is a ground from the battier to the chaise, ground from the tranny to chaise and from the valve cover to the chaise

no, on the thermostat there are 3 grounds. Most of your sensors grounds will end up here, along with the ECU ground. I believe the grounding lenghts have to be a VERY certain length, so I would NOT suggest cutting anything in the harness. You could but it will affect resistance paths.

grab a helms. There are like 20+ ground points in the car.
