How test clutch pedal switch?

First make sure that the rubber stopper that presses on the switch is still there and not broken.

You could unplug the switch and see if the car will start. Make sure you still push in the clutch when trying to start the car. I did this on a car I owned once.

the pad was broken, and a friend told me to just push the button in and try to start the car but it wouldnt. so I figured I would ask here and see what anyone else can tell me. I did get the new pad, probably put it in tomorrow. thanks for your reply. Im sure if it doesnt work I'll be posting again.
