I've been looking and trying to find out what steps you need to take in order to rebuild your engine, seen a few that said i should get it machined? whatever that means ha, but it'd be nice if someone wrote a how to , on rebuilding an engine , lets say the d16y7 =]

well my friend, you should go buy a chilton or some other repair book and dig in. there are plenty of how-to's here. ya just gotta be creative in ur word search. gl.

yes i always recomend getting it machined. get a haynes or chilton manual. but if you have never rebuilt a motor yourself id go to a machine shop! they would hook you up!

Rebuilding a motor can be very easy. If you know what you are doing. If you have no clue, then I would recommend sending it to someone. At the VERY LEAST I would have someone show you how to do it the first time.

It is the little things that new guys forget that can be deadly for a fresh motor.

I would definitely recommend getting it machined.

Take it to a rebuild shop.
