This is very interesting... Are you really using stock axels?? If so, how long do u think theyll last?? Im personally just aiming for 400 horses on my D16, and i couldnt really find a thread showing how long stock axels would last.. or even ej8 Ex trannies for that matter

We ran many 10 sec runs and I never broke an axle and they are stock. Now that we took apart the set-up to inspect everything the actual splines on the axles are twisted a little but they never broke. On the other hand we broke the second gear on these stock transmisions like 2 or 3 times. Hope this helps out a little , the main trick to not breaking the axles is preloading and do not let the car wheel hop.

Im sorry, but im not really familiar with the term "preloading". And if u mean how u revved it up befor engaging first gear, isnt that going to cause more stress on ur tranny and clutch? And also, i was always curious on how people get their cars to spit out fire like that.. Did u have to redline it to do so? Or do you even have to redline it at all to achieve the max amount of power?

If you look at the video in the in car I am holding the e-brake and slowly "pre-loading" , what you are doing is engaging all the drivetrain parts together so when you drop the clutch there will not be a harsh engagement. If you just drop the clutch w/o doing so that is what really breaks parts.

The fire coming out is the AntiLag , it is retarding the timing and adding alot of fuel to help spool the turbo while the car is not moving to help create boost out of the launch to be able to leave with alot more power. Hope this makes sense.

I think i get it. And the anti lag is only possible through tuning? If so, then im guessing any car thats been turboed and tuned has antilag?

It just depends on your Engine Management , Aem has this feature , Hondata , etc.
You have to make sure you are not taking too much timing away or being too lean because you can hurt the motor.

got traction
