right and b16a2 b16a3 b17 are different types of b18 engines..

would you care to place a wager with me on the b18a motor vs the b18b motor? i am sure i can find flow charts on the heads online

the guy asked for diff types of b18 engines...
i gave him a list missing the b18a..
u gave a list that included everything from b16-b18...
i said b18 a and b are basically the same...
u said some shyts are diff...
i said im sure they r but not as different as a 1.6 to 1.8 which u inclluded in ur list... ..

i didnt read the whole thread, i only responded to your post about there being only 3 b motors that came to the us, clearly not correct, now had it said 3 b18's then thats different.......and yes, now i am splitting hairs

haha u didn't ask IAS what year motor they sent u????
ur supposed to get obd2 not obd1 and hence the problem...
by LAW..ur supposed to have the same or newer year engine in ur car...

It is a 99 GSR engine, my car is a 99. The guy at the shop said the plugs on the wiring harness on my car is different then plugs on the 99 GSR ECU. He said I had to either get an Si ECU which would take a couple days or convert to OBD-1 so I just decided to convert to OBD-1.
