i have a 97 ex (d16y8 i believe) manual... my car runs totally fine, no clucks, no moans, no whistles, nothing... sometimes when i go to start it i cannot... when the key is turned lights on the dashboard light up, sometimes on my car the lights on the left side of the dashboard do not light up... i'm talking about the check engine light and oil light and whatever else is over there... everything else works on the car, radio, lights, windows... if i let my car sit for a couple hours and try to start it again it starts perfectly fine... any ideas?

So the car doesn't start up at all and either the dash lights light up or the car doesn't start up at all and only the right side of the dash lights up. All power accessories work otherwise though. Wait a few minutes and it starts up fine though.
(Sorry, just trying to clear it up for myself what exactly is happening.)
