How I do

What kind of layer adjustments are you using when you change the body color from blue to yellow?

Just a warning "I'm fairly old school so the way I do things is what works for me"

What i do is select the area for color change

Cut and paste to same area

Then I goto LAYER \ LAYER STYLE \ Blending options \ General blending "select Hard light"

Then select your color change layer so it is highlited

then switch to the background image and desaturate the same area

then I return to my color change layer and use HUE and Saturation to gain the color I want.

If done right, you'll retain all reflections and have a realistic look.

Ryoslide is one of the best choppers CC has had. We used to have photochopping contests, and if I remember correctly.. he kicked a lot of ass.

I agree on the color also, just as I was messing with the color balance to keep the shadows and such some of the colors would not get rich enough without looking fake. So I went with yellow cause it contrasted well to show a color change. More of a "just to see if I could" kinda thing lol
