K100D or D40?

So I have a choice, to get a Pentax K100D DSLR or a Nikon D40....
Is the D40 REALLY worth the extra money or will the pentax keep me happy?

why D40>K100D? I was just at circuit City looking at DSLRs ('cause I work there) and the girl that works cameras said to go with the K100D.

well for one i own a nikon and love it. if you get the D40 and want to upgrade bodies you can still use the same lens'. not sure how that will work out with pentax.

I'd go for K100D Super instead of K100D. It has some handy features of the K10D. But I'm not sure if it's on sale or not
