I Have An 89 Civic With a Vtec b16 out of a 96 swapped into it.

right where the tranny meets the engine there is some beige colored hard putty looking substance.
i believe this is some kind of patch.
anyway it seems to be leaking very little.

A) Where can i fill my clutch fluid there doesn't seem to be any fill cap, or a measuring dipstick.
B) what can i do to fix this leak.

I'm new to civic club and just looking for some help =)

WOW...

OK, there is no dipstick for the clutch fluid, it's the resivoir next to the master cylinder. Just fill it to the max line with DOT 3 brake fluid.

As far as the beige paste looking s**t, it's most likely liquid gasket from the factory... Without pics, I have no idea, but, that is the most likely suspect.

Have a good night.

haha its the first standard honda i've owned...
thanks.

the color seems to be light light brown, almost clear.

i changed the oil 2 days ago, so the oild would most likely be darker than that.

Most likely the leak you found is from somewhere else, and just happened to settle on the gasket, clean it up and go from there =)

it's been leaking all day.
not much, but golf-ball sized spot after an hour of sitting even after wiping it up.

All you can do is clean it up and try to follow the fluid from the puddle to the point of the leak, can be a b***h to find sometimes...
