lug nut size

whats the proper lug nut size for a 98 civic. my lugnuts seem to screw on crooked and not stay tightened. before i bought them i asked the dude at autozone the ones i need and he picked out the ones i have but they cant be right.

m12 X1.5. the lugs should have a tapered bottom.

maybe some new studs too. because if you somehow got the 1/2-20 onto your car, you probably f**ked the threads on the studs up.

1/2-20 is like a 13mm thread.

I'm honestly suprised your wheels stayed on at all.

Almost everything is 12X1.5 now except Nissans (12X1.25) and GM trucks (14X1.5) Maybe Subaru too:what:

alright i took off my wheels and my studs are still good. i screwed on my stock lug nuts to just the stud and it held good. so i guess the lugnuts had supersoft threads and the studs made its own threads in the lugnut. just thought id let yall know i dont have to replace my studs =)
