i have a 99ex i wont to do a swap so do i need to go for a 99 and up moter for edmisions or can i do any year thanks i know if i googled it i would find the answer but on my way to work thanks

I think it just has to be obd2
so 96 and up should work if thats what your worried about?

It does have to be 99 and newer in california. A motor older than your chassis cannot be swapped in and bar'd legal.
