seen it before on a 88-92 mazda mx6, made good numbers just like that.

thats got to be the worst turbo location.. you lose so much thermal energy in the exhaust. and so much pressure drop from the hugely long intake charge piping.

If I was following behind and saw exhaust exiting Turbo and lots of other random crap like that, I'd laugh. Engine parts belong in engine bay. So the boost has to travel back 8 feet into the intake... it's that VERY inefficent?

You'd be surprised.

I've seen a SS Camaro with the exhaust mounted turbo and it made some serious numbers.
Of course, it already started with 325hp.

:werd: and a huge amount of excess intake tubing all the way back up to the throttle body.

and you phrased it so much better than I would have. My initial thought was this guy needs to put down the model glue.

Maybe he already had his headers (plural on purpose, it's a 60 degree v6) and his catback and did'nt want to ruin or eliminate either.
