Muffler Tip Question

I have a question about exhaust tips. I'm looking to purchase a muffler tip I'm thinking of either getting one thats around 3" or 3.5". Is there anything I should make sure of before I purchase the exhaust tip? I have a 2009 honda civic coupe DX and I was just wondering if any muffler tip would fit the car.

Just the tip? or a whole muffer? You're probably fine with any tip as long as it supports whatever the diameter of your stock muffler tip is. Most I'm sure are fairly universal.

if you're looking for a bolt-on tip then make sure to measure your muffler tip diameter to find the bolt-on tip that fits best. If you get a weld-on tip then its best to find one of the same diameter as your current muffler tip if not slightly bigger.
