need help w/ Motorola Phone Tools...razrV3..

so i need some help...

i recently got a razrv3...and i recently downloaded the motorola phone tools program...

i unpack and install the MPT program, it installs correctly. it then asks me to hook up my phone to my computer so it can initialize w/ the phone...

i do that, and nothing ever happens. i'm using a usb cord, and i plug the phone to the pc, and i hear the "doDO" turn on signal windows has when you connect something new to it. it will display "FOUND NEW HARDWARE: Motorola V3" but will never do anything with it.

i'm not wanting to use the razr as a modem or etc, just wanna transfer pics and load some ringtones to the phone

anyone got any help for me out there?

this does the same thing for me, wondering why nothing happens when i plug it in...

^^ haha well... did you install the driver for it like i stated above? it happened to me before i installed it.

its the razr v3c btw

i found the driver for the reg v3, but cant find one for the v3c
