Need help!!

My car started out giving me a code 7 now it went to a code 17

My 88 hatch refuses to run right, I put a new fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotory button, coolant temp sensor, on it. But yesterday it started giving a code 7, then it went to giving me a code 17. When I push the gas in to gain more speed it just starts spitting and spudering. What could cause this problem. Please help.
