Need so advice

hey guys im new here so i don't know to much about the Honda's.

Well I just picked up a 1995 civic ex with a d16z6 and the car is AUTOMATIC.

well the problem is im looking to swap the motor out with a jdm motor.

maybe like a b18 ? will i have to convert my car to 5 speed in order to use this type of motor or can i just run ITautomatic.

I know automatics are garbage compared to 5 speeds but i'm on a budget and im not looking to upgrade a d series.

ALL YOUR ADVICE IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

yes you can run a b18 with an auto trans.noth your stock trans. you will need a b-series trans.

would i just have the motor/tranny intalled as if it were a automatic? or is there a certain tranny that i need to look for? sorry for my noobness (made that word up) lol

that would be good and all but kinda a waste. thats got a manual trans and manual ecu.

best way will to buy just a motor and then buy the auto trans and auto ecu(or have one chipped)
then you will also need to buy the little extra parts that you may want like ac and ps

oh and you can find complete swaps with an auto sometimes but they are rare

ok i was bored so i found this for you. should be all you need

now you will still need new mounts and want to do a full tune-up before you have it installed. also replace the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump while its out.

Thats exactly what i was looking for. i should have the money at the end of march! now for the motor mounts...is there a certain type that i need to look into getting? THANKS AGAIN!

cant lose with hasport mounts...
last time i did a swap they were pretty pricey, but its been awhile and there might be better mounts now...

you can use most of the stock mounts but will need a b-sereis swap tranny mount. although im not 100% on that because i dont deel with autos much.

so far i have $1100 saved up however i might be swapping my car to 5 speed after all!!!

would a b16a be a easy/good n/a swap for a daily driver looking to have so great speed?

a n/a b16 would make a great dd. hell im gonna do a itr swap for my dd.

aslo if you do a auto to manal swap they make a mount for that as well so no worries.
