Magnoflow came to my engineering school today.. Not to be confused with MagnAflow like i was. They came in there fancy dodge magnum cars show/ rolling advirtisment.

There product is put over the fuel line in the engine bay and since the gas has metal in it, the magnet will straighten out the flow of the gasoline through the line which causes a better burn and better gas milage etc.

I have a few reasons why i think this is bull.. However i would like to hear more technical responses before I actually make a conclusion

Please discuss

Oh, OK. The theory sounds solid. But the "power and savings" prolly aren't worth $100.

It's not like you couldn't rig up something similar for less than $20...

Im not gonna completly rule it out yet.. Only because

They came to our engineering building and approached the dean of engineering and the mechanical engineering department and test fitted it for free to see if it worked. Ill have to wait about a week for the results. But i thought it was bold to come at people with PHD's with some bull. So maybe it does somthing..

ive seen this on tuner transformation before they put it on a supra. the part they used stabilized the fuel resulting in better gas milage

it doesnt cause the metal to attach it merly is used to stabilize the fuel, these have been around for awhile.

total BS!!!!

here you go... http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/autos/gasave.htm

""This gas-saving product improves fuel economy by 20 percent."
Claims usually tout savings ranging from 12 to 25 percent. However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has evaluated or tested more than 100 alleged gas-saving devices and has not found any product that significantly improves gas mileage. In fact, some "gas-saving" products may damage a car's engine or cause substantial increases in exhaust emissions. "

there's so much evidence (and real-world test) that disprove any of the fuel-line magnets "benefits"...
