New To Rebuilding Civics

I just bought my first civic about a month ago and just need some tips and tricks so I don't completely mess it up. I have problems finding performance parts for it as well.
Any advice and/or links will be grateful.

D16Y7 Engine
5 Speed Manual
Bone Stock
Body is almost perfect

What are your power goals and what is your budget? That will dictate your build and what you need.
