i don't think they sell OBD1 scanners. I know they have them for OBD2. are u just trying to get check a CEL code? what do u need to do? I've never heard of an OBD1 scanner like the OBD2 scanners AutoZone sells.

check auto zone they have a obd2-1 scanner, but last time i didn't see a obd port on the car im working on "92 cx hatch" .... there was a diag port on the ecu... you simply jump 2 wires and the cel flash's x amount of times and you refrence this with the cel chart..

lemme know if this helps.

st
wow so how do you know what code your throwing ??
there are 2 wires on the ecu you connect "paperclip" or whatever, that causes the cel light to blink a specific amount of times. 2 long blinks and 3 short ones for example would mean code 23.

as for the digital readers I am not sure where these get plugged into.

:word: ive never heard of an obd1 scanne like they have for obd2 cars, nut ive seen scanners, that they pop the hood and plug it in there somewhere, but its not just a scanner, its like a diagnostic tool...
...

this is the same one my mechanic has...snap-on
