Hey Guys, I'm planning on buying a swap from a friend who has a 99-00 OBD2B D16Y8 from a 99 civic ex.
I'm planning to swap it in my 1996 DX with D16Y7
He has everything except a wiring harness, I know there is alot of options i read but still getting some mix answers.
If i use the OBD2A non-vtec harness, I would have to
1) change IACV 3plug to 2 plug
2) OBD2B dizzy plugs or use obd2A dizzy ?
3) Wire knock sensor, V-tec wire, some other stuff ?
4) use OBD2A EX ECU P2P.
or Use a OBD2A V-tec Harness
1) still have to change OBD2B dizzy plugs ? or Use OBD2A dizzy
2) use OBD2A EX ECU
OR use a OBD2B V-tec EX harness
1) Don't have to do anything, except obd2B EX ECU ...
* this is the best option but the engine harness for 99-00 obd2B ex/si v-tec harness is soooo expensive ... starting at $350 on ebay ...
I'm just wondering if this is correct, I maybe missing somethings but swap gurus, what do you guys think
