I have a 99 Honda civic lx. Some people have told me the offset for them are 35 to 45?
But what would happen if I put +20 on? or anything that low?

Determining offset has a lot to do with the wheel width. +35 offset on a 6.5" wide wheel is not the same as a + 35 offset on a 7" wheel. So what size wheels are you talking about with a +20 offset?

you can also play with adaptors and spacers. why not just buy a wheel that suppose to fit the car?
