yeah thats a f**king ripoff. Its all about miles not just the year. civic from 96-2000 are of the same generation. At 4k dollars try and get something less than 150 thousand miles with it.

offer him 1200, if he takes it. then buy it

otherwise f**k that. i'm sure the car has plenty of life left in it if it was taken care of. but that price is rediculous...

I live in the bay area (california) so, i dont know, everything here is so expensive. I wouldn't be able to get less than $3000 here for civic model 99-00 (unless it has a salvage title or high mileges). I could probably get a decent civic 96 for $2500, but I just prefer the look of 99 & 00 models.

I sent him an email sayin his car only worth less than 3,000k & he didn't answer me back so the deal is off.

im pretty close to purchase another civic right now, 00 silver civic w/ 150k miles on it for $3500. thats like 3 months salary of my part-time job so im cool with it =) will let u know.

An average driver nets around 12,000 -15,000 miles per year driving from home to work everyday with "alternate" routes as well. I came up with this equation 15,000 miles per year, on the high side, multiplied by 9 years, starting from 99' up to 08'... 15,000(mi) x 9(y) = 135,000(mi). Now, with that being calculated and with the previous post above with the car having 220,000 miles on it, I came up with this equation. 220,000(mi) - 135,000(mi) = 85,000(mi). Now, within 9 years, there are 108 months; so here is your next, logical equation, 85,000(mi) / 108(mo) = 787(mi). Add that answer to the already stated 15,000 miles and you get an average of 15,787 miles per year; to break that up even more, thats an average of 1315 miles per month, and even simpler, 329 miles per week, and 46 miles a day.

Just some random facts =)

wow, i once had a job where i had to drive my car everywhere. after a month of about 4k miles, i quit that s**t.
well i barely drive for my job. its just that my commute to and from work, mon-fri, is about 70 miles round trip. and then i might go out at night with my friends or i might go on the occasional road trip to visit some friends at their college s or whatever. it all pans out to about 3,000 a month

all that to come up with a wrong number. 24444 would be the avg. number of miles per yr.
