Just wondering...could a bad fuel filter throw this code: P1457 EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected. Has anyone else experience this problem and what did they do the fix it.

I have a 99-00 Honda Civic Si

is your gas cap on tight? truthfully that's the most common cause of that code.

tried that...i made sure it made more than clicks...would the fuel filter make a difference...sometimes my car stutters...kinda like bogging...when i step the gas pedal...i'll change it this weekend and see what happens...but any support is appreciated

how's your upstream o2 sensor? is it old? it cant hurt to change your fuel filter. its really easy and fairly cheap

Reset your ECU, and see if it comes back. Honda CEL's dont just disappear on their own. They need to be reset.
