part help pls!!!

I just a swap from VX engine to a D16z6 and recently found out this part in the engine bay not being plugged into anything.

Attached is the picture....
The part in the red circle is right in the middle of the firewall
and the yellow circled tube has 2 hose THAT IS NOT attached to anything right now.
Ive been driving this car with the new engine for 6mos now and just realized that this box's hoses arent
attached to anything.

Can someone please tell me what this is and what the 2 hoses are for?

man I never have seen anyting like it the only thing I could tink of is that your wiper could have the water squirter hook to it just like some american car

nah.. its not the wiper coz my wipers still work and the 2 hoses coming off that thing is not connected
anywhere...

anyway, someone told me that this is the EGR Valve?

is that true? is that important?

i have that same thing on my GSR.. well i didnt have it connected for emissions but i passed. anyways .. its like a vacum of some sort .. juss connect it to be safe jhaha

ive looked and looked on the d16z6 engione and couldnt find where to connect that.
i might just remove that danm piece..
