please help tokico illumina questions

I just bought a 2000 civic coupe and it came with tokico illumina shocks and some lowering springs (not sure the brand)
The front looks a litle higher than the rear, I like it usually a little lower.
Would adjustable coilovers do the trick or will i need to replace the shocks?

Illumina's a pretty good shocks. You shouldn't have any problems putting coil sleeves on them if that's what you mean. Full coilovers would replace the shocks.

Just be sure to inspect them and make sure they aren't leaking.

Yeah as long as the shocks are fine you can just get some coilover sleeves to adjust the height using those shocks. Ground Controls would be a good option. As mentioned just make sure they aren't leaking or making weird noices when being compressed.

shocks seem to be in perfect condition.
I thought i read somewhere that tokico's allow a 1.5in drop? is that false?
just matters on how low you drop your coilovers?
im thinking ground control or skunk2

I'm lowered about 2-2.5" on my Illumina's and have been for nearly 3 years. They're holding up perfectly fine. Some people have gone lower on them. If you want to go low, I would recommend Koni Yellow's.

Yeah, Illuminas will handle more than a 1.5" drop with no problem. Good to hear they are in good shape. If you need a price on coilover sleeves let me know or check out the store.
