I'm selling my 92 Accord in about a month and I'm getting around $2,100 for it I can maybe squeeze a lil more cash in there somehow probably hit around $2,500 so I wanna get a general idea of the prices on the 2dr coupes and the HB also how much would a SI cost and how hard do you think it would be to find this model?

I also plan on boosting the car by way of turbo do you think the stock internals could handle 5-6PSI? Because I really do not know how to work on the internals of a engine I can work on anything except the motor and ECU basically. And I plan on getting a kit from Greddy to make it a little easier.

You will probably end up paying around 3-4K for a coupe or hatchback that is in pretty good condition and has relatively low mileage. It is my opinion that the stock internals will handle 5-6 psi with no problem. As far as the mileage goes, my buddy has an escort with 140K and he just boosted it and it runs fine with no problems, so a Honda motor should be able to take it.

But yes u can find 5th gen.s all day especially since your in Fl

find a nice 5g for around 2-3 thousand miles on it and then just swap another d-series in it. You'll end up spending around 4 thousand after the turbo and everything =)

I got my 92 hatch for 2000

Damn, how did everyone get their hatch for sooo cheap? I'm jealous.. the lowest prices I see on autotrader run around 2500 for a hatch, but those ones generally get bought out quick.. but there's generally plenty running between 3200-4000.. and the occasional 3000 one or ones that go under 3000.. Ahhhh.. I'm jealous.. Can't find a decent manual one..

i picked up a 92 dx hatch at the junkyard for a grand. it was a a theft recovered car. only thing i had to replace was the radiator / distributor / seats / and a corner light ^_^. All i did was go to the phone book, call all the auto wrecking yards, and ask around. i was just looking for a shell, but the guy sed it had the motor and tranny, so... now i got a hatch ^_^ just call around, u'll find something eventually.

i got my old 92 hatch for 3400 3 years ago with 115k. technically, i think kkb puts them around 2500 in good condition(just guessing) but buying a hatch for blue book price nowdays is hard. and about the boost, yes, 5-6 pounds is safe on stock internals. i would say even up to 8lbs but no more. guessing your staying with d-series and boosting. the hatch from teamrice.org is running a d16z6 at 11lbs runnng 12s on stock internals :shocked2: :yummy: :shockl:

Yeah thanks alot all of you for the help, I was looking into a 88 supra turbo...but I prefer Honda I like there history,designs,etc.... plus I can work on 'em pretty good now. I mean the first car I ever drove was a 88 CRX when I was twelve I'm 16 now. I'm either getting a SI or a EX coupe because it's Vtec and I'll keep the SOHC because I don't really have the resources for a swap (stated before) I'm going to go boost with the SOHC Vtec engine should be pretty damn good :P

Yeah I'll look around at dealers plenty of 'em. There's also a Honda dealer in town so if all else fails I'll just see if they can find what I wan't.

Also I know this is out of the blue but Did you know that S2000's are 100% made in Japan? I just found this out the other day I was at the dealer looking at the info sheet on the window and every part of that car was made in Japan, that's pretty cool.

Eg hatches are a dime a dozen, if you can't find one (not SI), then your not really looking.

you can always find an EG under 4k, just depends on the condition and the parts put in it. im selling mine for about 4800, with all the parts put on it, sticker price would be around 7000 but we cant get back what we put in, so just keep that in mind when you wanna mod your ride. as for boosting, as long as you keep good maintanence on the motor and change out older parts that arent working well you should have no problem boosting only 5-6lbs. If youre planning to go any higher than 8lbs, youd better start looking into upgrading the motor! Main things you need when you have turbo, 91 octane, clean oil, and a higher fuel management system.

too bad its not like that around here.. good luck finding one, much less a clean one for sale.. I rarely ever even see a stock hatch.. and if I do its generally f**ked up.. + to add hatches go for 3-4 grand if you find one.. the last one I saw for sale was 4500.. 95 Si in white..
