my guess is a custom made adapter with some ITBS attached (i have some ITBS fs in my thread)

then you will need custom engine management, all that will cost a fortune, you can probably turbo for cheaper.

For myself, I prefer 4 cylinder engines in lightweight cars like EG6, AE86, etc to be N/A, fully built out, ITBs, and high-revving.

It looks like crap imo. All the wires and vacuum hoses everywhere.

have fun tuning the ITBS.

NA is better on some engines, but deffinatly not a D series, takes alot of money to make power.
the power to cost ratio is just to low.

its cheaper (in some cases) to build for boost then NA
