question about bumper absorber (hatchback guys please read)

hey guys,

i have a 97 cx hatchback and
i need to get a new bumper absorber (foam piece that goes behind the bumper). everywhere i look they say 96-00 except hatchback? why is this? i thought all 96-98 front ends were the same, regardless of coupe, sedan, or hatch. will the "except hatchback" one fit? if not then does anyone kno where i can get a bumper absorber for my 97 hatchback? cuz i can only find ones for except hatchback.

All 96-98 front ends are the same, hatchback, coupe, and sedans. The differrence is the rear bumper. The hatchbacks are different than the coupe/sedans. The foam piece off a coupe/sedan should fit on a hatch front end.

If you are doing the front then any should work, its the rear that will be different.

why do u want one. I took mine off and threw it away. It made the front bumper stick out too far from the headlights. Left an ugly gap.
