QUestion on rear strut tower bar

Hey hommies!

I've been wondering about the rear strut tower bar, does it go pretty much in the right behind the seat or it goes high like pretty close to the back speakers????

I'm wondering because I got a pretty big speaker box since I got a 15" sub so I dont know if its gonna clear or not, I guess i can always pull the box out a little bit but will the bar be almost touching the back seat or a few inches apart?????

Take a look at where your struts bolt upto in the trunk. With a 15" box, your gonna have to put ur box on the backside (towards the rear of the car) of the bar. But yea, just look at where the struts come in at and bolt in, in the trunk.

To get a better idea, pull out the trunk carpet and take a look for yourself.

you can see where the 2 bumps are for the rear struts, that's where it goes

Those two bumps are called shock towers, and each tower will have the shock top-hat sticking thru. You'll see two nuts, one on either side of the top-hat. It will take up a bit of room in the front of the trunk, yes.

its like 4 inches away from the seat just just above the middle of the trunk
