Hello,
I have a 2001 Civic LX with apprx 85000 miles on it. When should the thermostat be replaced on this car?
Also: I noticed that the antifreeze/coolant is very dark green. Could it be possible that the Honda mechanic who did my timing belt/water pump job, poured straight, non-diluted antifreeze/coolant into the car? Or is this normal??

I can't give you too much info on the color of the anti-freeze but I know my thermostat just went bad and was stuck open. It went bad at 75000 miles. Did your mechanic do a flush of your coolant system when they did the timing belt...? It is supposed to get flushed at about 80000. Sorry that I am not really answering your question.
