Okay, so i recently got me some Si taillights (Red and White), I had the red white and yellow ones, and my problem is when i pulled out the bulb it was a 7440 (clear) and i needed to change to a 7440A (Amber), so i went to AutoZone and picked up some but they dont fit at all!

Thanks in advanced

what bulbs exactly are you trying to change? you dont need the amber ones unless its the turn signal. there'd be no reason to put amber bulbs where it shows red

Alright, broski!

For the amber bulbs...I really want to say that they are 1157A - the a stands for amber.

I know that you can find them at wal-mart. They're pretty much the same bulbs you use for the front turn signals

Alright listen, I used to have the regular taillights the ones that are red yellow and white and my turn signal bulb was clear so when it came on it would light up the yellow on the headloght case , but then i got some SI taillights and i hace clear bulbs still so when i turn on my turn signals it doesnt show up amber it just flashes white

Ohhh...

ok, I gotcha now. The bulb that you're looking for is 997A...I THINK...not totally sure. But, take out the bulb that you want to replace and bring it with you into the store. Just look for the same bulb, but it'll be in amber. The number of it will be totally different. I had to do that when I put in red-clear tails in my sedan.

I have a 98 civic and I bought the same amber bulbs and just forced them in and it worked. The bulbs are almost identical except there are these little grooves at the end of the bulb that restrict it from going in. Like I said just force it in.
