Relpace 14in wheels with 13in?

I just bought a used 1998 Civic EX coupe, to replace my 1995 Civic DX sedan, which I'm retiring after 350,000 miles and a blown cylinder. The 95 came with 13inch wheels, which I replaced a few years ago with some nice MB Wheels aftermarket alloy rims. The 98 has 14in wheels with the plastic wheel covers. Can I use the 13in alloys on the 98?

possibly, you could just go try one of the front wheels, that's the only place you'd have a problem...well, that and the tire size...

I don't think it will work. 96-00 EX and Si models have bigger brakes than LX/DX/CX and I believe HX.

The only true way of finding out is trying it.

I fitted a 6th gen OEM wheels on my 7th gen. Looks a bit smaller but it works perfectly fine.

hope this helps.

Update

Tried it...didn't work. The wheel wouldn't fit over the brake. Now I have to spring for a new set of wheels...oh well.

Thanks for your input!
