For a while now my RPMs dont seem to go higher than 3 grand on the tach and i was wondering wut that wud most likely b? the engine and everything does but the tach doesnt. the speedometer and everything works and th odometer but not the rpm gauge. a lil help?

ur tach might be bad or what ever is in the distributor that sends the signal to the tach may be broken. See if you have a voltage coming out of the blue wire from the dizzy, im not sure what the voltage is suposed to be, so look it up and check it out. if your volts are correct though then its ur tach. maybe have some one rev it up higher than 3 and see what the volts
