If I'm not mistaken the power on that motor stops at about 7500 and your highest torque point is at 7000 so i wouldn't see a need in shifting any higher then 7500-7600..

but thats just my 2 cents

depends on what your shifting for. 7200 performance, 4500 daily driven

^^ seems like you wanna kill him, so you created an account to do so....

OP, 7,200 but ignore it until the weekends when you race.

sir's 4,100 daily 6,800-7,000 for the "higher preformance"

Your car can rev to 8,000-9,000 rpm without hurting anything, but theres just no point in going that high, you start losing power

3500 rpm daily driven, it revs to 8200rpm... if you race then shift about 7-7400rpm, after that you start to slope down on power. 4500 is a little too high, vtec crossover is at 5500, if you shift at 3500 you cruise in 5ht at 3500 your going 55-60 mph so for a daily its perfect...

stock b16 rev limiter is 8200, so when you're racing, shift at 8200. think about it, your peak power is 7500, so if shift at 7500 you're going to fall out of your peak power once in the next gear, if you shift at 8200, you will drop right around your peak powerband in the next gear, therefore accelerating you more. drag the gears out longer.
