I'm planning on getting a civic Si(99-00) for my first car...if i can find one and if my parents will let me.
but im not sure if it is a sports car and will it raise my parents insurance. I'm 17

Yes it will raise their rate. Based on just theft statistics alone.

I got an SI when I was 18, my I had full coverage on my own name for $116/month.

That is a lot. ^^^^

I have 2 vehicles covered as well as renter's insurance for the house and I am at $80 a month for ALL.

I'm under my parents for State Farm and I have a 2000 EM1. I pay $65 a month with liability and comprehensive.

i pay $290 every 6 months, but i dont have an si. nor, do i have any wrecks or tickets on my record.

depends if your eligable for good grade discounts or if youve been previously insured on another vechicle, is this your first? I have a 98 Honda civic ex and im about to turn 19 on the 7th, had license since 16 but just got car about a year and a month ago, I live in Indiana and have nationwide, and believe me their quote "nationwide is on your side," is a bunch of BS! I pay 152 a month with no tickets or accidents, so just depends on company and mind you that is just liability... fml, insurance sucks lol, could put so much money into car if you didnt need insurance, so I would just call around and get quotes on insurance for an Si, theyll give you a good estimate.

I'm 19 and I'm paying about 150/month for full collision insurance on a 98 ex... I have one ticket on my record and thats it :/ when I pay off my car I'm going back to just liability and will prolly end up paying about 85-90/month
