i have a 96 honda dx coupe and i want to take the side black side moldings off and paint them white but, i cant seem to get them off. Is there any certain way to take them off properly? Do i have to go through the door panel? Are they just clips?

They are clips, but taking the door panel off and pushing from inside the door will help you get them off without damaging any surrounding parts or the moldings themselves.

depends on the wheel. if its a Work Equip then gold. if its a CTR wheel then white

OP: If you try to pry them off you'll most likely break the clips and possible damage the opening where the clips go into. Best thing to do is remove the door panel and with a pair of needle nose pliers, push the clips out. Its not that difficult once you get the door panels off.
