I've been preparing for a hiking/camping trip this weekend.
It's 6 mile hike with the last 3.5 miles going up 2200' in elevation to a pristine mountain lake...

The nearest road of any kind is 5 miles away... I cant f**king wait.
I'm just going with a few friends though, looks like you brought the village

my girl didnt like it either, but the key is to convince her to go, make sure you have a good matress and blankets / sleeping bag so she is warm, and bring her more beers whenever she needs them, and shell be hooked .... mine is now down to go camp whenever she goes ... then again my girl knows that if she doesnt go ill go anyway so its her loss lol

damn thats insane but sounds cool, i never been much of a backpacking kind of guy. This place where we camped the shortcut to get there is about 20 miles of dirt road ... and there were a few drifts of snow that i just prayed every time i went over one (truck is 1wd lol) No cell reception either FTW

It sounds like a blast. I'm picking my girl up from the airport on the 17th and we have tentative 4th plans... it all depends on how things go the first few days she's back.
