The matched paint looks great. Did you paint the outside door handles on the car, or did you find a set already painted? What's the tow hook for? A friend of mine had one mounted horizontal on the front of his civic, like yours rotated 90 degrees. Occasionally I would stick my empty drink cups in it after lunch, until he caught me one day and started yelling at me about one that came up his hood while he was doing about 45 and scared the hell out of him.

you know they do make a heater duct/air box to go in place of the AC box under the dash. So you dont have to weld your own.

and 45lbs is a noticeable difference if you do any sort of racing. If all you do is commute, then it takes a bit more weight loss to feel it.

This is the day that I first bought the civic after months of scouting. Technically this is my first road legal car. My first ED7 was basically a tear down to gain experience, and i learned the most important quality from this. Patience.

Took me a good month of working between 8 - 15 hours a day to get everything apart. Way too much rust to fix, so i scraped it. Surprisingly I learned a lot more from experience then theory.

Anyways this is how she looked the day i brought it home

Failure at covering the aicv.

start of the y8 intake manifold swap

exhaust has arrived

she lives again

I kept having intake leaks until i found out it was the iacv cover. Removed everything and applied jb weld over it. worked perfectly after that, no leaks at all. I would say that the y8 intake sounds much deeper and throttle response is maybe a little better, can't tell the difference though
