they need to have a 4 x 100 lug pattern and should have an offset of about 40

^^ WRONG!!!!!!

Wheel Offset -- This is in relation to track width, but refers specifically to the wheels of the car. The more offset a pair of wheels has, the wider the track and overall width of the car will be. Most HPI sedan wheels are 0mm offset, meaning the edge of the wheel hub that comes in contact with the axle hex adapter is exactly in the middle of the wheel. Some wheels, for example, feature an offset of 3mm, which widens the car a total of 6mm.

The 4x100mm is refered to as the P.C.D., or Pitch Circle Diameter.

And in all but 1 case the Accord rims will not fit your Civic unless the hub of the wheel has 8 lug holes instead of 4.

make sure the offset is 40 and nothing else or else it will look dumb, but more than likely the wheels wont fit unless they have more than one bolt pattern

please refrain from giving out false information!!!!! what your talking about is the bolt pattern....offset is how far they will stick out.....the difference between looking good and looking stupid
