my speedo stopped working and i got the part to fix and see if it was the thing that goes into the trans. that didnt work. now i have to figure out what else. can anyone help me. its a 1999 honda civic ex. cant figure it out

It is the cables that connect the speedometer sensor and goes under the car intake manifold, they have a recall about this issue, you can check the cables and make sure that they are not milted or touching the engine, my car did the same but after i clean that area and tape/cover the cable, i did not see the problem again.
